Pretty woody valley bordered by rocks, Plakánek is one of three valleys directing to Kost castle. It is a part of long valley between Kost and small village Střehom. The name of Plakánek is derived from a Plakáneks family which in 17th century made charcoal by burning wood under rocks and cause of smoke all members had tearful eyes.
Plakánek was a lovely walking place for poet and writer Fráňa Šrámek.
